Here is a link to a detailed list of FAQ's for wikis. A couple more prominent questions are below.
0. What is a Wiki?
A wiki is a open website that anyone with access can edit. It is a space for us to collaboratively record and discuss our insights and thoughts. It will provide space for people to post resources to be made available to all members, even after the study is over.
1. Where can I access weekly content?
Each week (1-6) has its own page where information, thoughts and comments will be posted. These can be accessed from the home page.
2. How can I edit/add information?
First make sure you have been added as a member to the wiki. If not simply request to be added as a member by clicking the join now link at the center top of the page. Once a member you can edit any page on the wiki simply by clicking the edit button located at the top right of each page. This opens a edit screen similar to a microsoft word document. If you can't find the edit button you may have to select "view Wiki Controls" option located next to your user name in the top right corner of the screen.
To insert items like typed notes, ppt's, etc. simply click the File button and follow the prompts to upload the desired file. To make sure it uploads correctly save the page and it should display the updated version.
To add links highlight the text you want to make into a link and click the "Link" button. For an internal link to another page on this wiki simply type the page name in the textbox provided. For an external link (not to another page on the wiki) select the "external link" option and check the "New Window" box and type in the url.
3. How can I post comments and thoughts?
Please post using the discussion tool. It is located next to the 'edit' button at the top right of each page and is a picture of two discussion 'bubbles' on top of each other. Simply click the icon and you will be taken to the discussion summary for that page where you can view previous posts or post your own thoughts by clicking the appropriately labelled buttons and links. Can't view the comment bubble? Make sure you have the "view Wiki Controls" option selected next to your user name in the top right corner of the screen.
4. How can I help to improve this site?
I would love you to help improve this site! If you see something that is out of place feel free to improve it. On that note, we expect everyone using this page to respect the goals of this site as a safe, knowledge sharing tool and act accordingly.
